Trauma-to-Prison Pipeline x Prison Food Workshop
Stanford Decarceration Collective hosted the first of two workshops led by criminal justice reform advocate and successful returning citizen David Garlock. Together, we explored how how trauma funnels individuals into prison, the lack of healing in our legal system, and spent some time making food often prepared by incarcerated individuals!

Environmental Justice Teach-In & Lunch Social
At a lunch social on Stanford's democracy day, SDC invited keynote speaker Dr. Dena Montague and Community Organizer Keala Uchôa to explore the intersection of Abolitionism and Environmental Justice.

Game Night Social
The collective met up for a casual Sunday night social, complete with board games and snacks. Together we learned how to play "Defenders of the Wild."

Get Proximate Program
Two of our members had the opportunity to visit California Medical Facility as part of the Get Proximate program run by Smart Justice California. We were able to talk with people serving life and determinate sentences as well as people sentenced to life without parole.
